Intro

I started coding in late 2018 and began my full stack engineering journey at Prime Digital Academy. In my previous career, I was a Packaging Engineer Specialist involved in food, industrial, and medical device packaging. I also provided iOS and macOS technical support for about nine months prior to full stack development.

The transition to a new profession has been smooth, and there has been a good amount of overlap between the skills that I have developed and the skills needed to be a great developer. As I continue to immerse myself in software development, I find myself enjoying it more and more. I love to learn and the Minnesota tech industry and community has helped me to explore and facilitate this new passion of mine.

I love to fix things, find bugs, troubleshoot code, and educate people. I have been described by my peers to be considerate, thorough, and detail oriented. Some of my key strengths include being gritty, creative, and having an aptitude for refactoring. If you need a driven software development professional with expansive capabilities, please feel free to contact me.

My Work GitHub

Jarvis' List

I developed a full stack React application to further build upon the skills and knowledge gained from the curriculum taught at Prime Digital Academy. My application, Jarvis' List, is a web application designed to organize and track daily items. Users are able to create, update, and delete items from the database.

Jay's Redux Feedback Loop

This application was built to practice and demonstrate the usage of Redux in a React full-stack application. Jay's Redux Feedback Loop allows users to submit feedback through a multi-part form. After the user has navigated through the form and submitted their feedback, they are able to restart the feedback loop by clicking the "Leave New Feedback" button. There is an admin page to view a table of the feedback submitted and delete feedback submissions.

Jay's To-Do-List

Jay's To-Do-List was one of my first full stack web applications that I was able to get online and onto the Internet. I used jQuery to manage my app and Bootstrap to style it. It was an amazing feeling to get something like this up and running.
